I havent posted in here in like, forever, i had a couple big nervous breakdown type things, now im back in NH working as a veterinary technician which i love love love! but in a couple weeks im moving back to brooklyn to make another attempt at being a responsible adult and living on my own. luckily ill be living with my best friend, so things cant get tooo bad. my boyfriend and I broke up and we are going to "see how things go" when i get back to ny, but I dont really think things are going to "go" anywhere, we have nothing in common, which sucks, but I geuss thats how life goes. I have been doing hardly any art at all, I work 12 hour days, so I mostly too tired, but I also just kinda hate art right now. which is also depressing.

So i'm heading back to brooklyn tomorrow, I have about 25 commissions to do (!!!) which I hope to get done by monday, I think its possible >__< but people who are getting traditional medium work may have to wait a bit longer, the commissions will be done in the order that I recieved them, so yeah. thankyou everyone who requested one, you guys are really helping me out :D

a quick update

ok, heres whats been going on.
-I got accepted to the pratt show which was awesome but meant that after finals/survay I didn't get a single minute to hang out with friends or party or relax before graduation
-at the pratt show I talked to alot of industry people..actually thats not true, I stood around and felt awkward because I suck at pimping myself..i actually only talked to 2 people and spent the rest of the time wandering around looking at stuff/standing stupidly near my work.
- I graduated! wooo! I can't believe I made it o__o
- the same day as graduation I got a phone call from the company that the 2 people I talked to at survay worked for..tey wanted an interview ASAP
- so I ran home after graduation and took a shower, put together a portfolio and went to manhattan...this means I didn't really get to say goodbye to anyone or see anyone after graduation. sucks.
- I got hired! I'm now working on developing games for adult swim! AWESOME
-next day I had to be out of my place by 9am...i hadnt even started packing yet. im gonna have a huge fine because i didnt have ime to clean all the ink and paint off the floor :\
-came home to NH relaxed. The company gave me a week to do all the concepts and such for the game..they are due on teusday, so i cant relax tooo much
- we found an apartment, moving in june 1st in brooklyn, its closeish to pratt and is on the G..i will prolly bring a bike.
-I won $6 on curlin in the preakness...i shoulda bet more.
-ive been waking up at like..7-8am everyday ive been home, dunno why.
i geuss things are going well, they are definatly moving..im happy not to be stuck in some sort of stasis...I want to get a part time job puching pancakes or something in addition to freelancing so i have some sort of financial security, I have a book I really want to do for comiccon, I'll try and start it once i move into the new place.
seeing my family and the dogs is great, sadly i didnt get to see my friends as much as i would have liked to, but it seems like there is a great migration to new york going on..everyone is aimed there, so with luck ill be able to see everyone with more frequency.

last night I dreamt that I was being forced to help venom (from spiderman) remove this girls eyes and replace them with wooden eyes, it was my job to paint the wood eyes realisticly.

If any of you guys do not read John Kricfalusi's blog ..you MUST read it. the man is a genius and he talks about things like character expression, lines of action, backgrounds, color theory and all kinds of awesome awesome stuff.
I was never a huge fan of ren & stimpy because it creeped/grossed me out, but i have sooo much respect for john k. aughh he's amazing!!
also, this link http://punchandbrodie.com/leo/stanchfield/ is to the pdf of a book called "esture drawing for animation" it too, is awesome.
my mysterious illness seems to be leaving me (yay!) so ill just be doing art art art for the next few weeks. yay!

ugh.. sooo sick. ive been to the doctors 3 times in the past 2 days but they can't find anything actually wrong with me..wtf?! I get the results of my blood tests tomorrow..hopefully i dont have a thyroid problem or something else like that, I feel nauseous, sweats & chills and heart palpitations but my blood pressure, heart rate and pulse check out ok.
It's possible that it's stress related..I have a tendancy to get sick when i'm really stressed but the fact that my symptoms arnt showing up have the doctors confused/concerned.
I just want to feel better so I can do my work. bleh.
if it is stress then it can be said that i have the worst. coping mechanism. evar >:[

I don't really know where i'm going with this one..it's on wood so I may end up sanding it down..I like the lion but I have no idea what to do for a background...I really need to start doing thumbnails and planning my pieces out before I start them -__-

for my childrens book class we are sposed to pick a childrens book and put it in a different setting and illustrate it, i was gonna do "Fantastic Mr. Fox" but I found out that they are in production for a movie of it and now i'm not so sure. anyone know any good books I could do?

dang, I haven't been on here in aggeeesss! but I finally have my computer back, after like, 6 months -__- now I can start getting some real work done!
I spent all day today in the studio working on my first piece for one of my senior projects, it's one of the first times ive worked really large and its 8'x4' totally crazy! but yeah, I have to work really hard because I want to get into senior show which is like, a big deal or something. I dunno.peace!

just my luck to get sick the weekend before finals. seriously, I woke up friday morning with a vicious hangover (thanks to kevin and his complimentary whisky shots -__-) which quickly morphed into one of the worst flu's iv'e had in a longgg time, I was feverish and delerious fri, sat, sun and managed to be well enough to get up mon morning (today) and Take my child&adolescent development final. blaaaahh!! so I lost 3 days and nights worth of work and now i have all my studio senior project finals teus and wends that im not prepared for work-wise. this means i'll have to stay up all night tonite and teus which means the chances of me actually getting better are very slim.
whyyyy !!!?!???
on the good news side:I found a sketchbook that has pages you can remove/replace which means I don't have to go through the trauma of bookbinding. score!

I haven't had internet all this week for some reason, it's bizarre, but now i'm at work and have the internets again. The upside of this is that I have a week's worth of lj's to read through :3
so what's been going on with me; it's midterms, my teachers are all kinda being dicks, and I understand that they are hard on me because i'm a decent illustrator and blah blah but omg lay off a bit!! they're giving me a complex >:[ I have my old job back which is great because I am down to like..$1.45 in change, I am extremely destitute and it sucks.
I have a boyfriend who I've been with for like, a month now. Jacqui met him, Andy I think you'll meet him in a few weeks..we're gonna be in Boston 2nd week in Nov. Anyways, he's awesome and sweet and dresses better than me. then again, most people do. I don't have a halloween costume yet, I don't even know if I'm going to be here for the H'ween weekend when all the parties are, might be in CT, but there are still some parties during the week.
ok thats about it.
